This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
This is something I actually wrote for myspace, but decided to add it on here as well. Just random tidbits of thought that have struck me recently.
We’re all given chances. Chances to do with life as we please. We all chase dreams and try to hold on to the belief that we can do anything we set our minds to. How many of us actually achieve the things that we aspire to do? How many dreams have fallen just shy of actually coming about? Where do we find our individuality in the mess we call this society? Are we all just playing a part? I sat outside 210 North Rodeo drive in Beverly Hills, California at 11 PM the night before we were supposed to head home and contemplated these and many other things. As I watched countless BMWs, Mercedes and Hummers drive by the fancy hotels and lavish houses in and around that area, I got to thinking about how much better I could be doing. I could have a large house in the suburbs with a fancy car parked out front, an Olympic sized pool in the backyard, a first edition of all of Jane Austen’s work (which I recently shopped for and found to cost $146,000 for the entire collection, a price I eventually plan to pay), and any of the other things we strive to have. I thought about the fact that two weeks prior to this, a homeless man broke into my rental car and stole my laptop and about how desperate he must have been to want to do something like that. I rejoiced yet again for the role that I currently play in society and the unruly amount of travel that it entails, a cursed freedom which brought me to the spot on which I sat. Fate, however, could have made everything different. Any one of the people that glared inquisitively at me as I sat on the base of a tree planter could have been born in a third-world country and never known that many of the things they take for granted existed. I’m beginning to wonder if I wasn’t placed into the wrong environment. Maybe I was supposed to have been born in Greece and been a fisherman all my life. Maybe I was supposed to have been born in Brazil and been a sheep herder. Maybe I was supposed to have been born in Ireland where my ancestors were and been a horse thief. Thinking about how many people there are out there in this world that never see anything that we see here in the States, yet are still happy with their lives makes me wonder what it’s all worth. What good is life here if there’s happiness to be found elsewhere? In the last 12 weeks I’ve been to 16 major cities across the U.S. and Canada for work (technically with layovers it’s 22, but they don’t count). I’ve gotten to see a lot and have loved every minute of it. I greedily want more. I want to see France and know what life is like there. I want to see China and know what life is like there. I want to see Russia, Belgium and Spain. I want to see what other peoples’ dreams are and know if I want to make them my own. People fascinate me.
